Plain Bumper Upholstered Bed Frame

The Plain Bumper Upholstered Bed Frame is a bold, modern take on the upholstered bed, finished in a deep black fabric that anchors the room without any fussy detailing. The plain cushioned headboard and padded bumper side rails keep the silhouette clean, while the black colourway gives the bed a contemporary, slightly dramatic presence.

It's a strong option if you're leaning into darker bedroom palettes, monochrome styling or a boutique-hotel feel at home. Black upholstered frames pair well with crisp white bedding, warm wood bedside tables, muted greys and soft beige tones, making it easier to update your look over time without replacing the bed itself.

The headboard is fully upholstered and padded, so it's comfortable to lean against when you're sitting up in bed. The bumper side rails add a soft edge that's useful in smaller rooms where you pass close to the frame. The platform base takes a standard UK mattress directly, with no need for a box spring or separate divan.

Available in 3FT Single, 4FT Small Double, 4FT6 Double, 5FT King and 6FT Super King, the Plain Black Bumper works in main bedrooms, spare rooms and teen bedrooms where a statement colour is welcome.

Key features: plain black upholstered finish, padded headboard, bumper-style padded side rails, platform build for UK mattresses, five UK sizes, and a clean silhouette that makes the colour the feature.

Before ordering, measure your room, doorways and any tight landing turns, particularly for the 5FT and 6FT options. Pair with your preferred UK mattress (sold separately) to complete the setup. A confident, easy-to-live-with option for shoppers who want their bed to bring real colour personality to the room.
